California Trip

We just got back from a 7 day family vacation. First we went to Las Vegas to spend some time with my parents and Troy and Lana. We spent the day hiking at Red Rock. Jake's favorite part was playing in the water. Samantha took off and climbed as high as everyone else. The next morning we got up really early and drove to Sea World. We spent the entire day there going on rides and seeing all the sea life. The seals were hilarious when it was feeding time. They each had their own unique bark for food. The next two days were spent exclusively at Disneyland. Nick liked all of the roller coasters. Him and his father would go from one to the next as quickly as they could. Samantha and I preferred the rides that were more calm and quiet like the Jungle Cruise and Buzz Light Year. Jake only liked the train around the park and the cars at autopia. Our last day at the parks, we went mainly to California Adventures. Soaring was awesome but Jake really enjoyed the Bug's Life rides. We even had the opportunity to see Playhouse Disney Live. Handy Manny was there!!! Yeah!!! Before heading home, we went to Newport Beach. The kids had never experienced that much sand and beautiful waves. They had a great time looking for shells and digging in the sand. On our way back to reality, we stopped off in Las Vegas again for the best home cooking available and then drove the rest of the way. We had an awesome vacation and we do not look forward to Monday :(
